HERON FOODS OPENS IN PRUDHOE

Discount grocery retailer Heron Foods has opened a store in Prudhoe, Northumberland.
The neighbourhood store, which sells top-quality, branded foods, drinks and household products, has opened a 9,540 sq ft store in Front Street, which is managed by LCP.
To celebrate its arrival, Heron Foods gave a goodie bag to the first 100 customers to spend £5 in store on opening day and also donated a cheque for £250 to nearby charity shop Relate.
Colin Ford, store manager, said the new store had created 17 local jobs.
The Heron Foods Prudhoe store will be open Monday to Saturday, 8am to 8pm, and Sunday, 9am to 5pm.
